Build Your Brand with Community Events

Your community can be a happening place and is the place to build your brand amongst the locals. From Chamber of Commerce meetings to little league tournaments, participating in community events ensures you will be surrounded by an audience of potential customers

How to get involved
Attend your local chamber of commerce meetings. These meetings are a great place to network with other business owners. Rather than handing out a business card, put your contact info on a pen - they’ll see your name, and contact info, every time they jot a note.
City council meetings draw an audience that is active in the community. Hand out spiral flip pads with your custom imprint at the next meeting. Attendees will be thankful to have something to take notes on and you’ll ensure they see your message long after the meeting is over.
  Volunteer to present at business or trade associations meetings. Associations are always looking for guest speakers. Keep the tone of the presentation educational and you’ll establish credibility amongst the attendees. Add your presentation to a Flash Drive and they can take your presentation with them!
  Every community has dozens of sporting events every year and sponsors are always needed. Whether you get involved with your children’s tournament or an adult bike race, your participation will be commended by your neighbors. Pass out sports bottles to the winning team they’ll remember your generosity long after the event has passed.

am a member of our local chamber of commerce and each Friday morning we have a coffee meeting. Members are allowed to display advertising materials on a table. I started taking the pens I had ordered and put out 8 or 10. At the end of the meeting I noticed they were all gone. I increased the number and each week they were still all gone. I wasn't sure if they were just being picked up and thrown aside or actually used. I started looking around the room on Friday mornings and noticed a lot of my pens were in use. Then when a sign-up sheet came around from the chamber that had my pen as the one to use I knew they weren't just being tossed in a basket.

I have had a number of people tell me they got my name and number from the pens I distributed. Also, last year I handed out calendars to the chamber and other clients and it is very rewarding to see them on display when I go into the places of business. Again I have received calls from new clients who indicated they got my information from the calendar. I am sure I have more than made up the cost of the materials in new business. But most of all it is just exciting to see my name on an item being used by my fellow businessmen.
