The San Diego 500, The Book of Influential Business Leaders is the market’s most comprehensive compilation of people in the business community. The list includes business leaders and executives who have founded or are running significant companies in terms of number of employees, key products and services, expertise that raises the level of the industry in San Diego and beyond, and leadership within the business community. Kelly was included in the Leading Industries category, which showcases the diverse pursuits of the local San Diego economy.
Kelly is an Ireland native who joined National Pen in 2006 and was named CEO in June 2016. National Pen hosted an Opening Ceremony at the company’s newly-established Contact Center on Monday October 29th 2018. The organization's new Jamaican premises is located in the Mangrove Way area of the Montego Bay Freezone and has been in operation since August 2018. National Pen Jamaica currently employs over 190 people with plans for future growth and expansion. Staff in Montego Bay work across a variety of sales and support functions serving National Pen’s North American market, and the organization estimates that its headcount at the new facility will significantly increase in 2019. A Cimpress brand, National Pen markets a variety of promotional products to small- and medium-sized business.

Senior executives from National Pen attended Monday’s ceremony where Peter Kelly gave a speech and officiated the ribbon cutting ceremony. Honored guests and dignitaries from the local community also attended the event including Councillor Homer Davis, BPIAJ President Ms. Gloria Henry, and Hon Consul Brian J. Denning O.D Consul of Ireland to Jamaica.
