Fun Things to Do for Easter at Home: Free Easter Printables, Craft Ideas & More

We can still have a hoppin’ good time on Easter, even if we can’t see family and friends in person. There are so many great things we can do with technology to help us feel connected, as well as Easter activities for kids at home like free Easter printable coloring pages.

No need to hunt any longer, we’ve got all your Easter ideas here!

4 Things to Do for Easter at Home

1. Share an Easter Meal with Family

Whether you choose Zoom, FaceTime, HouseParty, or Skype, there are plenty of apps that allow you to chat with family. Set it up on your phone or laptop at the table and chat over brunch or dinner like you would on any other Easter Sunday. If it’s tradition to cook together, set up your device in the kitchen and host your own mini cooking show.

2. Color Free Easter Printables

Coloring is always a great activity to keep kids busy indoors, and these free Easter printable coloring pages are sure to do the trick. These are great to roll up and place inside plastic eggs for the hunt if you aren’t able to get Easter candy!

3. Make Easter Crafts at Home

Of course crafts had to make the list of fun things to do for Easter at home! When you make Easter crafts at home, you bring the family together. Whether you choose to make an Easter card, ornament, or a fuzzy bunny, it’s a thoughtful touch to send the crafts to friends and family so they can join the fun.

4. Take the Easter Egg Hunt Indoors

Not all of us have yards, so now is the time to get creative with your Easter egg hunt. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Blindfolded Hunt: this is a silly way to work on your communication as a family. Blindfold the egg hunter and have another family member talk them through how to get to the egg.
  • In-the-Dark Hunt: get the flashlights ready! This is one of those Easter activities for kids at home that they’ll remember for years to come. Turn off all the lights and have the kids find their eggs in the dark (glow-in-the-dark plastic eggs make this even more fun!).
  • Clue Hunt: since many of us have a bit more time on our hands than usual, why not take the time to build up the excitement over a few days? Leave your kids a clue each day that will help them locate a special egg or their big Easter basket.

From our family to yours, we wish you a Happy Easter! Share your things to do for Easter at home on Facebook and Instagram so we all can celebrate together.
