6 Types of Towels You Can Use to Promote Your Brand

When it comes to effective swag, usability is key. If you give prospective customers something they have a use for, they’re more likely to hold on to it, giving your brand more visibility in their day-to-day lives. One product that fits the bill? A branded towel. And depending on the type of business you run, towels can play an essential part in creating a cohesive, consistent brand experience for your customers.

So, if you’re planning a summer event and need swag to give away, or want to maximise brand visibility at your hospitality business, we’ll go over the different types of towels available on the market. Read on to learn more about different towel sizes, towel materials and more, then decide which type is best for you.

  1. Sports Towels

Give customers something to wipe away their sweat, whether they’re hitting up an outdoor bootcamp class or venturing out on a sunny hike. Sports towels are typically compact in size and made from super-absorbent microfibre, so they’re great for use during and after a workout. Choose one that comes with a carrying bag or pouch, like this one, for extra versatility — and additional logo visibility. Or, explore cooling options, which are made from a towel material that draws water away from the body.

  1. Beach Towels

Beach towels are usually made from soft, absorbent cotton terry — perfect for drying off after a dip in the pool, or simply for lounging on while you sunbathe by the shore. If you run a seaside bar or restaurant, consider selling branded beach towels in your shop, or renting them to beachgoers. (And don’t forget the sunglasses!) For seasonal and destination businesses, this is a great way to get your brand seen far and wide, all year round.

  1. Golf Towels

Whether you want to provide towels in the pro shop at your club, or just need a seasonal giveaway for golf-loving clients, you can’t go wrong with golf towels. These towels usually have some sort of built-in ring or loop so customers can hook the towel to their golf bag for easy access. Golf towel material is usually cotton or microfibre, perfect for wiping dirt from golf balls, tees and hands.

  1. Yoga Towels

Do you run a yoga studio? We’re guessing towels are a necessity for many of your clients — especially if they’re taking a heated class! Yoga towels typically have the same moisture-absorbing properties of an athletic towel, but have a different towel size. They’re about the length and width of a traditional yoga mat (and sometimes have non-slip features!) so they can lay directly on top of the mat throughout the session. Add your logo to yoga towels in your brand colours to rent and sell to clients, or to give away at your next promotional event.

  1. Spa Towels

If you own a salon, spa or beauty business, branded spa towels are an easy way to create a cohesive, professional experience for every client. Choose a smaller size if you’re only planning on towel-drying hair, but go for an oversized option if clients will be wearing the towels in between services, during their treatment or to make their way to the sauna.

  1. Hotel Towels

Hotels can be memorable for all sorts of reasons…including their towels. After all, there’s nothing better than checking into your hotel, taking a shower and wrapping yourself up in a luxurious, fluffy towel. So, whether you run a collection of luxury hotels or have just opened your first B&B, branded towels are a must in guest bathrooms and by the pool.
